Xerox DocuMate 4700 Scanner Driver. After driver installing Windows 10 64Bit my old Epson Perfection 2480 Photo did not work anymore. So a new scanner had to come. Unfortunately I ordered the Canon Lide 220 due to the many positive reviews and only found a very bad scan quality under Windows 10 64 bit. The many positive reviews were mainly based on Windows 7 or Windows 8, with Windows 10 it could not cope. After ordering the Xerox DocuMate 4700, the whole frustration is over, it scans perfectly and works perfectly under Windows 10. The operating volume of the scanner is also ok, the scan speed for a DIN A4 text page corresponds to 10 seconds the Canon Lide 220 scanner. The bad reviews on the server software I can not understand. You can scan fully automatically, a click and the scanner starts. In addition, there are the standard mode, the office mode and the professional mode with a wealth of configuration options. These modes can be used, but they do not have to.

I find it advantageous to have more settings. Since I already had two Epson scanners I already knew the operator software, it has always been developed further and is essentially straightforward, or completely uncomplicated in the fully automatic mode. I'm fully satisfied with the Xerox DocuMate 4700 and regretted switching to the Canon Lide 220 after two Epson scanners. Since my Canon scanner after 8 years gave up its mind, I quickly needed a new scanner. The Xerox DocuMate 4700 scanner does not need a power supply and a calibration or heating time, which left my Canon always wait about 2 minutes, are superfluous here, this Xerox DocuMate 4700 can even be placed diagonally on the desk by means of a stand. The scan results are consistently good for this price. For me an absolutely useful device, of course, delivered very quickly and safely.
