Recommended for occasional use in the home office. Allegedly the driver was too old or other things did not work. As an absolute enemy of Bloatware (the on-board means of an OS I prefer much, if no extra third-party nonsense must be installed), the hope was that no driver below 10.13 is needed. It was exactly this hope (with an HP network printer here in the office, this has been working this way for years). Although the standard OS X driver only offers a DPI of up to 600 in the drop down menu, a manual input delivers 4800 dpi. Extra functions such as a pressure on the email button on the device, I think that is meaningless, since the programs delivered for this never reach the quality of Photoshop and a little manual work. You therefore have to "do without" this key. So if you are looking for a real plug & play device for the Mac OS, you should find it here. All other buyers can of course also install the huge driver packages that end up wanting to make life easier, but with a lot, anyway in a similar way already existing, "junk" more harm than help.

Often it helps more to simply deal with the on-board resources, than directly install everything external. Previously had the 5600f Canon scanner, which has served 9 years of good service. I have the Lite 120 get. Software from the enclosed CD is installed, the scanner connected and everything works. Also the buttons on the scanner for Copy, Send, Auto scan and PDF work perfectly. Even the driver's license or ID card will be scanned properly. The Xerox DocuMate 3220 scanner was recognized by Window 10 and integrated automatically. After installing the supplied software, it was also possible to use the function keys. This Xerox DocuMate 3220 scanner offers the function to combine multiple scans into one PDF. This works with 2 pages. At least at page 4, however, he broke off again and again and was only by a hard reset (USB plug pull) again ready for use. But since I need this feature, it unfortunately goes back.
