Software side: good the various settings and that I can specify many different profiles and then I can send scans virtually to any program. but that's it. But in negative I think: that the PC must be to scan on (is known because several times, but still not satisfactory. I thought so come clear) that I read with the software while other PDFs, but can not edit. The thumbnails are too small to make a tag, so you always have to open the document. So the scanner does not come with a reasonable solution or integration into a workflow. All in all, I then depend on other programs for a uniform solution for the handling of all my PDF. Then my Panasonic KV-S4085CW is just a great scan hardware that provides a JPG or PDF in a directory and the rest (OCR, keywording, renaming) is made through third-party software. That would be ok in principle, I would not have to run on my computer.

This Panasonic KV-S4085CW scanner as a standalone hardware, which scans me directly into a NAS drive, without useless software and 100 € less and I forgive 6 stars. If you only want to scan your receipts and paper invoices for accounting, you may be well served. but already the online telephone bill I would have to print first and then scan so that I am in the same workflow. if you do not want to have two workflows and different software for Parier and for electronic invoices. The software is not better and the scanning is a disaster. In the meantime I have become friends with this Panasonic KV-S4085CW. Scanning is fun because it just works well. Documents are scanned locally, tagged and then stored on a NAS in a folder structure.
