With this Lexmark Intuition S508 you have to load the drivers from the manufacturer's homepage, start the installation script and after about 10 minutes run scanners, printers and also WiFi without problems. Quite frankly, I have not experienced such a good Linux support with a multifunction device. The controls on the Lexmark Intuition S508 are arranged clearly and you can add a multilingual label accordingly. The menu guide on the display is very intuitive, which ensures that the device is also very easy to use as a standalone (eg when copying or photoprinting from SD card).

Another advantage is the automatic paper detection, which recognizes not only the paper type but also the format quite reliably. (I had however only with Standard and photo paper tested). As far as the scanning and print quality is concerned, I would describe them as measured by today's standards as good. Likewise, the volume (even with duplex printing) is not so high. The only thing I did not like was the paper feed from the rear, the lack of a paper cassette and the relatively small 25-sheet output tray. Conclusion: An absolutely well-thought-out device at a reasonable price, which fits well, if one seldom prints entire manuals.
