HP Scanjet G4050 Scanner Driver. I had bought the HP Scanjet G4050 scanner, because at that time with the change to Window 7 64-bit my old scanner from HP no longer worked. Because HP no longer want to write drivers, but wants to sell more devices. The HP Scanjet G4050 scan results is awesome. But the included software is very bad. No bit intuitive. Since I have only rarely scanned in the age of digital photography and the documents eh in the document scanner wander, I do not keep the steps. Every time I have to re-familiarize myself with the software. The HP Scanjet G4050 software first scans according to the pressed button. Theoretically everything is done, but practically never. So when I press Photoscan, the first scans in the good resolution, then I can change and adjust and then is scanned again.

This costs time and is hugely cumbersome and as I said, you really never really know what is happening right now. If I scan more often, I would have changed the scanner or tried to find a software that makes it more ergonomic. I was hugely disappointed, conscious of the HP quality of two predecessors I had chosen again for HP. For my private purposes fully suitable, whether for professionals ideal, I can not judge. Caution with the included software for the text recognition program: with angle pulls you can quickly get into a paid update case. Eyes on during the installation!
